A full heart At Closing Time

Another full day here at Bazaar wraps up. Curtains are drawn, biscuit crumbs swept up, time to reset and reflect.

It’s been a wave of incredibly affirming and heartfelt shows, events, moments. Just today, Honey Disposition brought their full lineup and rich harmonies as they celebrated a new song release. Marsha, a barista circa 2018, hosted her baby shower in the garden. Scott and Lila ended the night with resounding, beautiful ballads and nuanced harmonies we could only marvel at; a toddler discovered shakers and a taste of the stage. A new customer left with a honey lavender latte, only to return minutes later to share her compliments. The curry, the roasted sesame dutch cacao got their own standing ovations. Earlier, in a quiet few minutes, I took in Aubree’s art to a backdrop of Aleta performing deep and intricate rumbles on the piano.

The magic of these beautiful shows leaves one so full, and conversely, with that desire to run across the neighborhood to tell everyone: do you know what you missed today?! Which turns to an inflection, DID we do all we could, to let everyone know, to do justice to these wonderful performers?

We can always do more. We will continue to do more. We will figure out how to do more!

For now: time to let these feet decompress, get home, six hours to go before the curtains open for another day, a new show of culinary and musical delights. A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who tunes in, spreads the word, and helps us do justice to all these wonderful performers who trust us with their performances. We love y’all.
