The connection between experiences and the various emotions that come along with them, such as the exploration of sexuality and identity and the very sentimental and intimate nature of such experiences are one of the various aspects of human condition explored by Jade Cohen. The works contain an innate sense of closeness, even beyond intimacy, that not only serve as an anchor of reflection, but also as a blanket of support and comfort.
Jade Cohen is Bay Area based artist from South Africa. She graduated with a BA in Art Practice from UC Berkeley in 2020, with training throughout her youth. Her works are multimedia based, with focuses on acrylic, watercolor, digital, and ink. Her themes stem from personal experiences that she hopes to tie to the human collective.
