the joy of connecting with other small biz people

On Wednesday (which functions as Josh’s weekend), we made a trip to Rainbow for our organic rice. Since these are our rest days, we try to combine it with something fun: on this trip, a stop at a synthesizer hardware store, a bookstore, and a cute little pink coffee shop called Temo.

We fell in love with their funky copper chairs and started chatting to the proprietor. He immediately started peppering us with recommendations: where do you get your disposable cups?

Small business is maddeningly hard, especially in a high cost-of-living city, and we LOVE finding others we can talk shop with!

Whenever we visit *any* other establishment, our eyes are darting around, taking in the differences. At Temo’s, we marveled jealously at the simplicity of having a partner for pastries (no late night biscuit prep, shopping, oven repairs and more!), loved the paired down menu and the happy employee vibe.

We highly recommend you visit cute litte Temo if you’re on that side of town!
